Two Missouri highway worker suffer on-the-job injuries

One of the dangers of being a Missouri highway worker is the necessity to make stops on the state's many freeways that other drivers might not expect. Especially when stopping in the middle of the night, there is always a chance that a worker can be hurt or even killed by an inattentive driver.

OSHA assesses fines in deadly KC restaurant explosion

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration located in Kansas City has announced that it is seeking fines against two companies in connection with the deadly explosion earlier this year of restaurant close to the Country Club Plaza, a busy outdoor shopping facility in Kansas City, Missouri. The explosion left one restaurant employee dead and several other people with injuries.

Nurses suffer extremely high rate of workplace injuries

We are probably not surprised to discover that a large number of workplace accidents involve manufacturing and construction employees. However, per U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics back in 2010, the industry with the largest number of non-fatal workplace injuries is in the health care field.
