Can workplace safety issues lead to confined space injuries?

Any spaces that do not allow easy access or exit for workers are considered confined spaces. In some cases, confined spaces also limit movement of those who have to work inside. Spaces that have been inspected by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and identified as dangerous confined spaces require the employer to obtain a permit before allowing access. Such dangerous working areas are present on many Missouri work sites and require compliance with workplace safety regulations in order to prevent severe injuries or fatalities.

Electrical shock causes untimely death in Missouri work accident

Company owners in Missouri have an enormous responsibility to their employees. They have a duty to provide safe workplace surroundings and to take all the necessary steps to avoid the occurrence of a work accident. However, it is not uncommon for company owners to disregard some of the safety regulations that are prescribed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

A repetitive workplace injury claim may be declined, what then?

Most Missouri workers are likely aware of the workers' compensation benefits they are entitled to if they are injured on the job. However, many may not know that those benefits also cover repetitive injuries. Any workplace injury can be extremely stressful for a worker, who may be unsure whether he or she will be able to continue the job that provides the weekly or monthly income.

No fault needs to be proven in workers' compensation claims

Some Missouri workers may be concerned about the fact that they may not file a claim against their employer after suffering a workplace injury. Workers are provided with workers' compensation insurance and in return they are prohibited from filing claims against their employers -- except in particular circumstances. However, they will not have to prove negligence on the part of their employers or any co-workers. Even if a worker was partly responsible for his or her own injury, a claim for workers' compensation benefits may be filed.
